I Think I Saw Noah

This morning on the way to work, I looked up and there were animals -- standing in line, two-by-two!

Seriously, yesterday afternoon I decided anything I was going to do outdoors -- I better do it. So I went and edged my in-laws yard. Then I went down to Doral Tesoro to play golf (by the Speedway). There was one really heavy thunderstorm, with lots of lightning, roll through. I waited a couple of squalls out, but managed to get in a round of golf.

As I was coming home, it was bumper-to-bumper on HWY 287. After several miles of creeping along, I finally discovered why. There was about 18 inches of water across the road! When I got home at about 7:15, I looked at my rain gauge. 5.5 inches of rain! In about three and a half hours! I can't remember a June like this one in my life. But I'm not complaining. It sure beats drought and 100 degree days -- especially when it comes to electricity and water bills.

WOW! I wish we could get some of that. This is supposed to be our rainy season, but it's still dry. Forecasters say it's coming - but it's not here yet. How'd you score?

That is a lot of rain. I heard yesterday morning that Dallas was only 1 inch behind their total annual rainfall. And it is only JUNE! So much better than last year. My back yard is starting to grow grass again. (No rain and two large dogs wreak havoc on grass over a year stretch.)

I think if this keeps up, I might give serious consideration to seeing Evan Almighty just for a visual guide on building an Ark!

John,
I shot 77. I putted for eagle three times -- and I was playing from the tips! (Didn't make any of them) I don't know if I have ever putted for eagle three times in one round.

David,
I was just reading a review of Evan Almighty on a Christian website. It said that it is a really good movie that deals with a number of Biblical issues well.

I'm reaching the grumbling stage. While I watched the water creeping up within inches of my front door, I couldn't help but think I was very tired of the rain.
