I realize that a person can become so obsessed with heaven that he / she is of no earthly good. But that doesn't seem to be a problem with anyone I know. I do know that in my own life, when I keep a healthy eye on heaven -- I live with more peace now.
"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, TO GAZE UPON THE BEAUTY OF THE LORD and to seek him in his temple." (Psalm 27: 4)

I used to fit in the category you mention but then I heard a really good sermon series on heaven about the same time I was really getting to know God and let him be Lord and now I just can't wait to see heaven. I know it is something greater than I can imagine and I know it will be joy beyond anything I know. I have begun to pray that Jesus comes soon - not in any morbid way but in the hope and excitement of what God has planned for me.
I recommend your sermons on heaven to anyone who wants to be more at peace and more excited about what waits for us.
I, like you, have a lot more peace about heaven then I used to. That ever-certain peace affords me the freedom to live without fear and uncertainty in that aspect. In fact, I find myself desiring to help the Lord usher some of heaven's realities into this earth, because, we as Christ's eternal possession, are to enjoy a reality of heaven on eath--NOW! That makes me excited and yearning for more. :)
I wanted to say in class last night that when I think of heaven, which is frequently, I think of it as the place where Krystal is and where I'll see here again. While that probably shouldn't be my primarly focus in terms of heaven, it's where I'm at today.
